About Me

Andy was born and raised in Saint Louis, Missouri. After seeing a production of the musical Peter Pan he told his parents, "I want to do that!” On stage he could fly! Soon after, Andy was enrolled in acting classes, sang in choirs, took voice lessons, and started directing friends and sisters in shows in his backyard. All of Andy’s hard work led him to be cast as Kurt von Trapp in a local high school's production of The Sound of Music (he went on to play Friedrich and Rolf as he got older). After years of avoiding dance classes to spare ridicule, he finally decided to join his sisters in their dance classes. He quickly fell in love with the athleticism, rhythm, and beauty of story telling through movement. This training led him to the Muny where he joined the children's ensemble, Muny Kids, and Muny Teens performing troupes. In Andy’s 6-year span at Muny, he performed in over 10 shows and had the privilege to work alongside and learn from Broadway professionals.

In Andy’s high school years, he was part of every theater and dance production at St. Louis University High School under the direction of local legend Joseph Schulte. In Mr. Schulte he found a mentor and friend who encouraged Andy to pursue performance and directing as a career. After graduating from high school, Andy attended Millikin University and received a BFA in Musical Theatre with a minor in Dance. At school he had the opportunity to further his studies of theatre, perform in numerous shows, and spent a semester studying abroad at Shakespeare's Globe Theatre in London. One of Andy’s greatest accomplishments was to direct, choreograph, and produce an entirely student-run production of Hair! He graduated with honors and that same day moved to begin a summer performing at The Little Theatre on the Square.

In the first year after graduating, Andy went on to work regionally across the midwest and in Chicago before moving to New York City.  He soon was leaving the city regularly to perform at more esteemed regional theaters closer to NYC including Geva Theatre, Fingerlakes Music Theatre Festival at Merry-Go-Round Playhouse, and The Gateway Playhouse on Long Island.  In the summer of 2016, Andy was offered a role in the international tour of West Side Story.  He once again packed up his bags and left for the adventure of a lifetime! In 15 months, Andy performed the over 350 performances of West Side Story, dancing Jerome Robbins’ original choreography in 20 different countries across Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and even New Zealand!  Upon returning to NYC, Andy joined Actors' Equity Association and has been training at Steps on Broadway where he participated as a dancer in their New Voices Choreographer Showcase. Andy signed with Avalon Artists Group in 2018 after showcasing for Craig Holzberg.

With Broadway shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic Andy looked to find new ways to continue his career as a performer.  In August of 2020, he booked a national commercial for McDonald's with his roommates!  Shortly after, he signed with commercial agents BMG Talent! Shortly after signing, Andy booked an online commercial/marketing campaign with Blink Fitness.  While the world may be looking different than expected, Andy has high hopes for a successful future and is excited to see how the entertainment industry rebounds!
